Engineering Technician

College Township is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Engineer Technician to support our infrastructure and development projects. This role involves both field and office work, including surveying, plan review, construction inspection, and technical support for engineering initiatives. 

Hiring Range: $51,349 to $56,484 DOE 

This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position. College Township provides a full benefit package including health, dental, life, short and long-term disability and retirement.

Knowledge of civil engineering principles related to transportation, hydraulics, construction, and utility infrastructure. Familiarity with Pennsylvania regulatory permitting processes; experience with PennDOT and DEP regulations preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of AutoCAD (or equivalent) and ESRI GIS strongly preferred.

Knowledge of, or ability to learn within one (1) year, basic survey principles and use of GPS equipment. Ability to respond in a timely manner to PA One Call requests for utility locate services. Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field preferred; an associate’s degree or equivalent technical experience may be considered.
• EIT Certification is preferred.
• Possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license is required; must maintain eligibility for Township vehicle use.
